Welcome to the "European Environment Scout" Website

In this innovative European project, young people from different EU countries can increase their chances in the labor market in a significant manner. At the same time, youths can help in promoting the environmental sensitiveness in Europe. Consequently, various target groups of special importance benefit from this programme: Participants, institutions and, of course, society and the European environment.

The Scouts train skills similar to project management, communication and presentation techniques and naturally, international collaboration and conflict management. Scouts train through conducting useful research work ("scouting") in the field of environmental issues. They evaluate the effectiveness of certain environmental measures and detect environmental potentials. Throughout these scouting activities, youths use their 5 senses: visual, auditory, sense, smell and taste. We guarantee that the position of a citizen of one of the cities involved is represented and appropriate initiatives are suggested to the relevant authorities.

We're thrilled that Dr. Franz Fischler, former EU Commissioner for Agriculture, has taken
over the patronage for the project. Through his guidance, the high standards and
European thinking can be guaranteed.
