  • The course of action of the pilot project and the scouting programme is well-known.

  • The participants are aware of current environment-related topics in Austria, Germany and the EU.

  • The characteristic of the sensitiveness-raising scouting method (5-senses approach) is understood.

  • The individual potential of each participant is evaluated, to be built on during the programme.

  • The statistical methods used for data evaluation are known and applicable.

    week 2
    objective Environmental basics and self reflection

  • Basic environment-related topics and the most important correlations are known.

  • Scouting-teams are built, topic selection has taken place.

  • Basic soft skills in the fields of communication and presentation techniques have been trained.

  • The participants are aware of specific intercultural problems and conflict-solving strategies are known.

  • Information about the organisation and execution of the scouting-missions have been given.
  • methodology group work, expert speeches, discussions, excursions


    week 3
    objective Environmental training and strengthening of personal competences

  • Places of interest related to the respective topic are known and have been visited.

  • The selected topics have been worked out and have been presented in short presentations.

  • Presentation-techniques have been deepened (computer and personal presentation skills).

  • The participant knows the basics of project management and is able to adopt it.

  • Specific attention is turned to self-marketing and personal appearance, which have been reflected in detail.

    week 4
    objective Preparation of the scouting phase

  • The selected topics have been discussed in detail and have been worked out in a written manner.

  • The results (reports) are presented in a final presentation and discussed on group-level.

  • The scouting-method is deepened and applied with reference to practical examples.

  • The main topics for the scouting-stage are selected for each scouting team.

    week 5
    objective Environment Scout - Fitness-stage 1

  • The preparation, implementation and post-processing of the scouting missions are carried out continuously guided
        and accompanied.

  • The handling of the scouting tools is tested under supervision.

  • The first puzzle pieces join together.

  • The participants are aware of the applicability of the scouting-skills in daily life.

  • The presentation of results takes place in front of the (peer-) group.
  • methodology field research incl. preparation and post-processing, computer and online media, presentation


    week 6
    objective Environment Scout - Fitness-stage 2

  • The preparation, implementation and post-processing of the scouting missions are carried out partly guided and accompanied.

  • The handling of the scouting tools is tested partly under supervision.

  • Further puzzle pieces of acquired skills join.

  • The participants are familiar with the applicability of the scouting-skills in daily life.

  • The presentation of results takes place in front of the (peer-) group and other persons closely linked to the project.
  • methodology field research incl. preparation and post-processing, computer and online media, presentation


    week 7
    objective Environment Scout - Fitness-stage 3

  • The preparation, implementation and post-processing of the scouting-missions are carried out independently.

  • The handling of the scouting tools is carried out independently.

  • Further puzzle pieces of acquired skills join together.

  • The applicability of the scouting-skills in daily life is tangible.

  • The presentation of results takes place in front of a simulated external organisation (simulation of the municipality).

    week 8
    objective Environment Scout - Fitness-stage 4

  • The preparation, implementation and post-processing of the scouting-missions are carried out independently and documented.

  • The handling of the scouting tools is carried out intuitively.

  • The puzzle pieces of acquired skills add up to create a whole.

  • The scouting skills are part of the active perception in everyday life.

  • The presentation of results takes place in front of a simulated external organisation (simulation of the municipality).
  • methodology field research incl. preparation and post-processing, computer and online media, presentation, reporting


    week 9
    objective Project documentation and preparation for the final test, active job research

  • The collected data and results are summarized and documented in a professional final report.

  • The participants know where and how to offer their newly acquired skills on the labour market in a promising way.

  • Each participant possesses up-to-date application documents, containing all acquired competences.
  • methodology group work, independent work with a computer, final report, feedback


    week 10
    objective Final presentation and project conclusion

  • The results and the final report are presented in front of an international committee.

  • The deviated recommendations have been vindicated in front of an international committee.

  • The final examination, evaluated by a commission, has been passed (theory questions + presentation)

  • Potential employers have been contacted, job interviews are scheduled and the application situation has been trained.
